As part of the Finance Division the Treasury department has responsibility for the following areas:
- Cash Management - Monitoring and forecasting cashflows to ensure sufficient liquidity is available to fund the University's activities.
- Investments - Managing short-term and long-term investments in line with the University's Treasury policy.
- Risk Management - Management of treasury risk including counterparty risk, interest rate risk and foreign exchange rate risk.
- Banking Relationships - Building and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of financial service providers.
As of 1st July 2010, management of the University's Trust Funds has passed to the Financial Reporting Team.
The investment management of the University's endowments is carried out by one of the University's wholly-owned subsidiary companies, OUEM Ltd.
