Purpose of the IT Purchasing Group
The purpose of the IT Purchasing Group (ITPG) is to offer expertise and advice to the Purchasing Department to maximise savings in IT purchasing across the University.
Members of the group are asked to share their knowledge and expertise as individuals working with, and representing users of, IT in the University.
Aims of the IT Purchasing Group
- Assist the Purchasing Department to develop a good understanding of the current and future IT purchasing needs of the University.
- Review and provide expertise on IT purchasing initiatives and endorse their implementation.
- Recommend appropriate representation for the purchasing initiative working groups.
- Contribute to the promotion of best-practice purchasing within departments.
