Sole source deals

The University achieves best value when it commits volumes of purchases to a particular supplier.

The Purchasing Department is leading a programme of initiatives to sole source common goods and services, in order to generate savings for departments.

In addition to competitive pricing no further competition is required (irrespective of the value of the purchase) – departments can simply buy direct.
